or do I need to contact support?
Yes you do.
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

I wish someone would tell Support that. "That's not something we do"..."we don't offer static IP addresses"..."it's really not something we do anymore". And then after a 5 minute wait whilst they consulted with someone, "we're not able to do that anymore for static IP addresses."
Back in the day I could log a ticket and this would be done in an hour. It's harder and harder to get any type of useful support, and with my bandwidth half of what it was 3 years ago I think this is probably the last contract I sign with Plusnet.
Anyway - and sorry to ask - is there anything you can do to help me get this simple DNS record change done?

Of course they can - I don't blame the advisor, she clearly had no idea what I was talking about and no one to give her any advice - but I just got an email saying "we cannot make any changes to the static IP address, just adding or removing". Sigh...
(Thank you!!) 😊
