I'm lost...how do I point my domain name...

Left field                                          Type                            Pri                            Right field
www.vale-images.co.uk ;                     a                                                              83.138.171.49
vale-images                                      a                                                              83.138.171.49
What am I doing wrong??  I want my domain  'vale-images.co.uk' to point to my clikpic site (the IP is as above)
Any help for this NOVICE (so please keep the language simple) would be appreciated
Thanks

Re: I'm lost...how do I point my domain name...

Have you changed the name servers to:
Nameserver 1: ns1.force9.net
Nameserver 2: ns2.force9.net
For your Domain?
[Edit]
Just done a Domain lookup
Name servers:
ns1.force9.net
ns1.plusnet.co.uk        195.166.128.17
ns2.force9.net
ns2.plusnet.co.uk        212.159.13.150
Sorry that I was no help.

As far as I can see vale-images.co.uk already points to that IP address.
I think you need to point www to the same address which would mean

Left field            Type          Pri          Right field
www                    A                          83.138.171.49

Alternatively you could use a CNAME record

Left field            Type          Pri          Right field
www                    CNAME                      vale-images.co.uk.

Note: There is a full stop at the end of the Right field
CNAME records make maintenance easier if the underlying IP address ever changes.
