How can I point my domain at my wordpress site?

Hi there,
I have been struggling with this for a few days but made progress by looking at other peoples posts.  However, I can't do the last bit...
So, I have managed to get wordpress installed on my cgi force9 server (hooray - somebody made a great post explaining how)
...and I have configured wordpress more or less pain-free - cannot upload a new header image for some reason - access denied
but what I cannot figure out is how can I configure my domain so it goes to ccgi.domain.force9.co.uk/wordpress instead of the normal homepages.
Please can you help?  I think the answer involves DNS settings - I have had a fiddle but no luck so I'm clearly doing something wrong.  Force9 support don't seem to be answering at the moment so - over to you guys!

Hi TLE,
Thanks for your advice but I have already tried these with no luck.  I can only presume force9 is a bit different.
I don't know why but the support guys seem to have vanished - they haven't answered the questions i logged.
feeling a bit unloved by plusnet...
Thanks for your ideas though - at least we both agree I'm going along the right lines!
