Re: Can’t order FTTP

I’ve used the address checker and none of the houses on the same pole as us have FTTP available.

@GlitterChick

Those are probably not Openreach CBT, possibly City Fibre.

Suggest you check Zen or Sky to see if they supply Full Fibre at your address as the will offer their service via City Fibre.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

@GlitterChick

Try OFCOM to see whether any alternative suppliers are available.

Re: Can’t order FTTP

Thank you everyone for your help.

Just heard back from OpenReach:

“The good news is that Ultrafast Full Fibre Broadband is planned to be available at your property by the end of March 2028.

I’m sorry we cannot give you a more accurate date, and our plans are subject to change, but once the work is completed, you’ll be able to order Ultrafast Full Fibre from any one of the hundreds of broadband providers who are powered by our network.”

Disappointing, but nothing we can do about it short of moving.

Looks like we’ll be deciding between YouFibre and Virgin soon.

Re: Can’t order FTTP

That reads like a boiler plate generic response and seems at odds with a scenario where all the surrounding area is served.  Have you asked Plusnet to do a database check on your behalf?

Re: Can’t order FTTP

I haven’t asked Plusnet, mostly because there is no text-based way to get in touch with them. The options on the main website point to the forum, phone, or using BSL. I don’t know BSL but equally can’t use the phone reliably.

Was a member for years, but moved from PN fttc to fttp from an AltNet. Getting 940Mb up and down. Happy to stay on here and try to help others. 

@Gandalf

I know this isn't your area of responsibiliy anymore bur could you have a look and request an Availability Check if you think it's justified. It appears only one pole hasn't got FTTP.
