The settings I gave are for the outgoing server, as that was what I thought you were asking about. Are you also asking for the incoming settings?
A username/password mismatch would of course be a separate problem.

Sorry, I mixed things up a bit. Incoming mail is OK, it's outgoing that's the problem.

@chrish9070 - You have a PN username for your broadband, and a separate IC24 username/email address. To confuse matters, it's possible that they are the same. Next time you speak to one of our call centre, it might be worth asking them to confirm both for you.
If you'd like to PM me your IC24 address, I will check the status for you.

lick on Authenticate to validate your account before it expires.

Also a burst of the sporadic "You've been recorded" claptrap. FRom all I glean on these threads Plus.net has good reason to be thoroughly ashamed of this debacle: but then corporates don't do shame.

If you hover over the authenticate link you will see (in the first part) where this goes - if you investigate eg by Norton or other browser web safe etc it is blocked as being a known blacklisted domain. I too experienced quite a lot of phishing/spam around the migration time - they have probably been alerted by the combo of poor security and the amount of email complaints etc. I was successfully migrated but the abysmally slow service, several outages and other problems mean that I will not renew - already have an account at Mythic beasts (yeah, another fairly satisfied customer!) so slowly shifting all over there, not without issues after more than a decade at plusnet but worth it in the end i feel.

I can't imagine why some people get spam.

Oh I know I'm open to attack being this forward - but frankly with migration impending and all I've read I'm just about past caring. Not bore you with being off-line for a month this time last year when BT b******d up and Plus just fell into line and dumped us - all contact lost. Nor that Comms Ombudsman is banking we'll expire before he/she/it has to actually make a decision (case opened 20/10/25 - not a peep despite follow-ups) . So all in all pretty disillusioned with the techforprofit universe just now.

Being off line for a month is hardly a reason to invite spam by publishing your email address on an open public forum.
A quick check on https://haveibeenpwned.com/ shows that your email address has been included in no fewer than 18 data breaches, so one must assume that you get plenty of spam.
If it were me I would be abandoning this address for a new clean one.

Agreed - not something I would recommend to myself. Looks like the address will be dumped anyway soon - unless the migration is seamless as advertised. A stand-by is in position on google mail.

Outgoing email from email client Thunderbird is now working. After getting erroneous details from the AI support, Shehin replied with correct information. I have asked for knowledge base 29 to be corrected.
mail.enmail.co
StartTLS port 587
email address, not user name
Normal password

Glad it's now sorted. These seem to be the settings for Greenby. The ones I gave you are those for Plusnet, which I believe should continue to work after migration. At least, I strongly hope so (I am about to be migrated sometime from today onwards).
I note that StartTLS , port 587, normal password are unchanged. The differences are the server address and the use of your full email address, not just the PN username.
