It would make your claim much more credible if you posted a copy of your latest contract showing it to include an email service.

I'm confused... If you are still signed up to Plusnet, and have been continuously, then you still do have a Plusnet email address. Either you are still with Plusnet email or have been transferred to Greenby - as I have.

Re: Update on Plusnet email migration to Greenby

Not quite sure if this is the right thread, and apologies but I don't have the energy to wade too far through past comments, but is there any indication at all as to how far along the migration is? Any ETA on when it will be done?

About the only answer I've ever had was along the lines of I would be last because (at the time) I had email, hosting, and domain with Plusnet. I moved the hosting and domain over to Mythic Beasts a few months back, but still expecting to be last anyway - it'd just be nice to have a vague idea when it might happen.

Cheers!

How long is a piece of string, @john_chandler ? This 'migration' has all the hallmarks of atypical 'BT  knows best, and sod the customer' exercise.

@jab1 yeah, definitely a piece of string situation and a classic bit of BT reckless cluelessness / clueless recklessness.

The spam situation that started yesterday is really the final straw - I'm not a happy bunny having to constantly clear out "YOUR DEVICE WAS HACKED!" emails that are arriving every few minutes. I've had two more just while composing this reply!

Re: Update on Plusnet email migration to Greenby

I get several " cloud storage locked" mails a day very rarely saw before

funny enough the Greenby support mails turn up in my JUNK folder  - seems to be OUTLOOKS view?Huh

BUT STILL CANT SEND TO HOTMAIL ACCOUNTS.

I do get the odd Greenby mail on ticket system. We fixed it try in an hour..."

Each time 3 minutes or so and "undeliverable".......

also seems very slow (still) to download new messages

Re: Update on Plusnet email migration to Greenby

I've finally received comms from Plus net regarding the imminent transfer of my email and domain to Greenby. I've done all the checks noted in their email but I'm unsure about the email addresses I have linked to my domain. I'm guessing these addresses will transfer automatically with my domain?

Yes - all the email addresses on the account, whether it be [email protected] or anything@domain get transferred. You may have mailboxes set up, or you may have catchall (anything before the @ sign).

Re: Update on Plusnet email migration to Greenby

Wow, I've also had the first official information from Plusnet about the Greenby migration. Changeover starts next month apparently, and when done I can finally decide what I want to do about my broadband.

Re: Update on Plusnet email migration to Greenby

@john_chandler

I get the 'Your device was hacked' emails too. At the very same rate.
I recommend Mailwasher Pro for getting shut of them.

What I also did was set up an inbox called 'mail' - I changed all my website sign-ins to reflect that and all my emails now go there.
I set up the inboxes that were getting the emails which was Ian@ my domain name, ian_@ (and a couple of others) to be aliases and to be forwarded to a further folder called junk@my domain name.
