Hi @Voodoorising,

The team made some changes to restore your inbox - thanks for letting us know it's sorted. Smiley

@stephenparker  have you tried logging in via the Greenby webmail https://webmail.greenby.com/ using your usual login details from plusnet mail

Little update, inbox has now been restored but folders with saved emails have not been restored. Fingers crossed they will appear soon.

@frenchy2475 Have you checked in your email clients and webmail that the folders are set to be displayed or subscribed to in settings somewhere? The treminology and location varies from client to client.

Re: Update on Plusnet email migration to Greenby

@James_B

Hi James

I wonder if you can throw light on my questions:-

  1. I received my 'Welcome to Greenby' email (dated 17th December @13:01 hours) advising me that the migration of my email is completed.
Would that completed migration be, based on my PN username, all of my 10 mailboxes addresses ?
  2. I ask, because if I login to my PN account I can still see the 'Manage mailboxes' link that works as it always has done i.e. I can see all the mailboxes and the links to 'manage' them.

  3. I have yet to login to Greenby, so will I see a similar look to their user account with all 10 mailboxes to manage as needed?
    And if not why not?

Many thanks in anticipation of your answers and advice.

PS for the record.
I have a couple of outstanding/yet to be resolved comms with Tony about Spam (all forwarded to the PN abuse team as he requested) that has not been resolved and also about cyclic(approx every 10 days) of duplicate emails being received even if I have deleted them.

Re: Update on Plusnet email migration to Greenby

@Routefinder if you logon to greenby.com you should see all your mailboxes etc.

They may be still visible on PN but i think any changes there will have no effect.

@frenchy2475 Did you check settings => folders?

Note that a sign-in to webmail is to one mailbox, as each is a separate sign-in.

Thank you for the reply, all i know is if i signed in to my webmail via plusnet before all my folders were there and now they are not, i have checked settings and nothing on there says anything about displaying folders.

Re: Update on Plusnet email migration to Greenby

Greenby is dead to me this morning.

Last inbound email on Thunderbird was 8:25 am.

Thiunderbird will no longer log on to send or receive mail

The STAT command did not succeed. Error getting message number and sizes. Mail server mail.force9.net responded: [SYS/TEMP] Internal error occurred. Refer to server log for more information. [2025-12-19 11:50:58]

similar on Greenby's webmail, which shows 56MB of space used, but "server error"

Who will rid me of this turbulent IT company?

Another update, Greenby are re-migrating my emails, I have subscribed to my folders on the Greenby webmail(after instruction from support) and they are now showing on webmail. The support chap said it make take some time to appear on my phone.

Re: Update on Plusnet email migration to Greenby

Same here with a plusnet email - migrated on 18th despite them saying it was being paused and I started getting the STAT errors both thunderbird and on greenby almost immediately.  Now on thunderbird it just says sending of password failed so nothing at all.  In process of moving most email to a different provider but right now it has various important ones that I cant access, its the weekend and xmas looms - aargh! raised a ticket but no reply - not sure exactly how they are going to reach me - might try again and give a gmail or something!

[2025-12-20 09:14:04 ]had more problems with email and a huge increase in spam as well since the swap over to Greenby and what ever the message that keeps coming up I have no idea what it means as I'm not in IT and neither it seems is anyone at greenby as their help section is pathetic

Re: Update on Plusnet email migration to Greenby

I think I might complain to OFCOM - though whether a reply occurs within my remaining lifetime who could say?

I greatly miss all thiose emails from Academia.com "Are you the XXX.XXX who published an anthropological paper in the New England Journal of Medicine?" Kept me going.

Meanwhile how to I change my Co-op Bank account which sends me a email to allow me to log onto Internet Banking?

There aren't any branches these days. Pop into the Skipton Building Society in Holborn perhaps?

Re: Update on Plusnet email migration to Greenby

I'm back in but I've had two further outages. One I went to bed so I'm not sure how long and another for a couple of hours. I went to log a ticket with greenly and I can no longer login. I can though now login to the plus.net webmail so I appear to have been migrated back to plus.net
