Yep. Thankfully this outage only lasted about 30 mins. My concern is that there will be many more.

@Mount to add to my earlier teply.
Just now tumed the PC on and Thunderbird.
The new messages one would expect for the "main" account downloaded.
Then up pops the warning box - enter password..You enter the password - and it says no messages. Because, I believe, it is now checking the Postmaster account - which has no messages,.
So is Thurderbird confused by having two mail boxes - one normal one and one "postmaster"? This is course at the insistence of PlusNet. No idea if this is an idiosyncrasy of Thunderbird, or POP3 or what. As I said in my previous reply on this topic this did sometimes happen before the Greenby transfer. But it happens more now.
BTW post migration is the postmaster even necessary? It is of course the one PlusNet uses to send its bills.
There is one message from Greenby - welcome one.
ALSO in the (in my case likely) event of faults and faut repairs on the line etc. the Postmaster account is where PlusNet raise their tickets.

It seems to be broken again. I can't connect from mail client (via POP) on my Mac, OR access directly through webmail.

Greenby seem to have cut us off unless we pay them £15 for the next year which wasnt what was agreed!

Do you still have broadband with us, or was that another agreement? If you've got broadband, can you pm me all your usernames please?

It's utterly shambolic. I am not waiting for two years... jumping ship now. The only problem I have is some services send codes in emails when I try to change email address but due to the issues today the codes expire.
Still - I have 2 years to transfer everything across so if/when Greenby sort the issue I can crack on with more transfers.
Nothing keeping me with Plusnet anymore - this frees me up to find another broadband supplier when my contract is up.

I'm still with Plusnet broadband but my metronet email account is now via Greenby servers - it has gone again, it was working earlier today.
When I try to connect using Thunderbird I eventually get a screen which says:
"Login to server mail.metronet.co.uk with username @XXX@metronet.co.uk failed."
When I provide the correct password it just cycles through this same sequence. It didn't do this this morning, it just connected - it didn't go endlessly through this sequence.
This is worse than last time when, if I provided the correct password, it worked.
Perhaps Plusnet management/director might like to know the problems we are having with Greenby?

They (i.e. BT) should be aware of them, but the chances of getting a response from them are as remote as the Andromeda galaxy.

Experiences today in case it helps
Timeouts logging on (as fairly common, Thunderbrid then suggests entering a different password as it assumes that could be the cause)
Now both logins (I have two accounts, both active plusnet internet) fail immediately.
Trying Greenby site for webmail:
Account 1 - 'Credentials not recognised'
Account 2 - recognised, demands personal data for first logon, shows webmail overview page but on trying to view mail it fails with "RC error: Login failed, please check your credentials."
