Please Help me stop unwanted emails

John I just managed to PM Leanne_T who asked me to PM a copy of the properties of one of my unwanted emails. 
I now have a word file with the properties but didn't know how to attach it.

@Katie222 I have a feeling you can't attach a file to a PM, although you may be able to include it in the body of the message.

Hi Leanne,

I just sent you a PM with 10 examples of the headers, I can't attach a file, so there just plain text.

I've plently to chose from I've had 801 from 17:30 yesterday, I think it was about ~900 the day before. They appear every 2-3 mins 😅

All the emails go into the SPAM folder, I think my SPAM setting was 2 but I can;t check on plus.net website as I think I've been transferred to Greenby but I can;t appear to login in there.

Managed to get on Greenby website - who knew you had to use the postmaster id/password to access and not the user name, silly me.

I found  a settiing called DKIM, which signs your email as proof it comes form you. I know it can be used by outlook/iCloud mail but I assume it won't work here. I primarly read email via iPhone/IPad apps.

Despite putting the PN spam filter back up to 2 the spam has continued, but at a much lesser rate (only a couple of mails per day). Maybe the brief  stoppage before was just a coincidence. I will leave it as is for now and only put it up to 3 if the volume of spam increases.

I really dont know why that setting is present for a Plusnet email account in the Greenby portal. Enabling it generates a DKIM key and shows the required DNS record that needs adding to the domain DNS. Since there is no access to create TXT records in DNS for an <account>.plus.com domain , its pointless!

Yes DKIM does appear useless for a std user, looks more usefull for a server IT setup.

My spoof emails count was:

8-9 Apr    904 emails

9-10 Apr  106 emails

They had been coming in at 2-3 min intervals at 10am this morning, now it;s one evry 60 mins - his bot farm must have moved on to somebody else😀Thanks

I got just one through yesterday and none today so far, fingers crossed!

The only thing new that I did was to set my computer (Mac Mini) to put anything with a header containing 'YOU PERVERT' straight into the Junk folder in Mail. That was sometime on Thursday. (I was still moving them manually into Junk on my phone and clicking on "Mark as spam" in webmail to move them to the junk folder.)
As with you, I'm hoping they've finally given up on attempting to con me out of my savings!!

When I started this thread I was really concerned about these malicious emails and had been getting them already for weeks.
Now over the weekend I haven't had any but hardly dared say anything in case they started again.
Thanks to you all for support and explanation that it would end eventually. You're all stars.
