I am seeing a steady stream of the same sex-extortion emails also with the From: and the To: set to my email address.
Setting the From: to our email address is the downfall of this message, the sender is not using a Plusnet email account.
The result is red flags or fingerprints that give this away as a forged spam/scam message and these can be trapped in the rules of MS Outlook or the filters of Thunderbird :
For this email detecting any or all of the following in the email header will do the trick :
VIOLATED_DIRECT_SPF
spf=softfail
dmarc=fail
