Partner suddenly can't send or receive emails

Hi

My partner's email <removed>.plus.com has suddenly stopped working for sending and receiving emails using Thunderbird. She tried logging in to Greenby but details are not recognised. I have a separate broadband account with Force9 and that seems to be working, forwarding all my emails to a Proton account. I can also log in to Greenby. There is no <removed> account - she only uses Plusnet for the email address. Any help or advice appreciated. Thanks.

Alan F.

@goosehead first you might want to edit your post to redact the actual email address, its a public forum!

There is no ****162 account - she only uses Plusnet for the email address.

I'm not sure what you mean by that, an <account>.plus.com email address must be associated with an account ?

Mister W

When I say my partner has no account I mean she has no associated broadband account but only a stand-alone email account. Hope that helps.

In that case there shouldn't be any problems.

If she has no associated broadband account i would guess that 30 days free have expired since migration to greenby.

I believe it needs logging into greenby main (not the webmail) site and paying £15. Depending on which of the plusnet brands the email is it may require full email address rather than just username previously used to log into plusnet account.

Re: Partner suddenly can't send or receive emails

Thanks for your suggestions everybody but the switchover is causing so much hassle that my partner has decided that it will be easier to get a new gmail address and just inform everybody of her change of email! This will also save her £15. Not impressed with the way this has been handled by either Plusnet or Greenby as she has received no communication from either!
