Re: Is Greenby down?

I don't have a Greenby account (and no intention of doing so, thank you, given the hassle everyone seems to be getting with it - seems very much like Trump's Reflection Pool contract awarding).

I have adjusted my Plusnet spam filter to make it as open as I possibly can without it being Off... but no difference.  And now the "Member Center" no longer offers the link to manage this setting!

Having to tolerate marking everything repeatedly NOT as junk is the least of my problems - none of which can be done if the mail servers are offline.  No POP3 connection, no Webmail connection. NO EMAILS AT ALL

(sorry, not shouting at you, just very frustrated with PN)

Re: Is Greenby down?

Ha! yes.

PN webmail back online now, but I've now changed my domain forwardings to the IONOS basic mail, as I always grab my messages down by pop3, so their small 2GB limit should be fine for covering the odd times I'm away and can't pull them down.

Re: Is Greenby down?

Sunday 06:50.

Greenby email still down via POP3 / IMAP and via Greenby & Plusnet webmail portals.

At least the 6 email accounts have re-appeared in the www.Greenby.com portal.

Has any found a Greenby service status page ?

The closest I've seen is at : https://status.ecowebhosting.co.uk/
another Enix brand using email server :  mail.enmail.co  as described at
https://help.ecowebhosting.co.uk/email-hosting/how-to-set-up-your-email-client-outlook-apple-mail-th...

The Eco Web Hosting show they have a mail server outage from about the same time.

Terrible!  @jab1 - I see you migrated to Mythic Beasts, do you have a old post anywhere you can link to on what the steps are to do this in practice?  I have my own domain which I've previously just auto-forwarded emails to my (two) PlusNet mailboxes, which historically has 'just worked' but given the Greenby debacle I think it's time for Plan B.  Thanks in advance.

@chaswinder Sorry, my switching didn't have (as far as I recall) much, if any, visibility on here, but the MB  website almost walks you through the process, and if you need help, their techs are quick to respond - via email,  there is no phone support.

Have a look at: https://www.mythic-beasts.com/

Re: Is Greenby down?

Plusnet email has been down all night and is still down as far as I can see. I can at least open the webmail.greenby.com page and see the login screen (last night that web address just gave a "Database Error") but when I input user name and password it shows Loading.. for a few seconds then says "Connection to server failed".

This is surely the longest it's ever been out continuously. Mythic Beasts: here I come!

Re: Is Greenby down?

Finally back here, just now. iPad asked for password again, but found I didn’t need it, emails were already loading behind the pop-up.

Re: Is Greenby down?

Both PN and Greenby seem to be working OK for me ATM, just sent a test message from one account to the other and vice-versa, using IMAP/Thunderbird.

Not so last night though, although some messages expected on the Greenby account last night are now showing as delivered.

Edit: Correction - the old PN account which is now Greenby is POP3
