I appreciate Plusnet can do nothing about this, and I don't expect them to - I just need to vent.
For reasons I don't intend to elaborate on, I turned the PN spam filter off many years back, so I expect to get some spam. This is not a problem - I use MailWasher as a filter but it appears Google, having introduced non-standard requirements for mail being sent to their servers, are perfectly happy to allow their users to use the service (via GoogleGroups) to spam others, and have a laborious and convoluted 'reporting' route for such abuse.
'Double standards' springs to mind.

Totally unrelated to Google, but Mailwasher related. I am using 6.5.4 and have done for years. I looked into upgrading, but it seems it is now subscription only. Was wondering if you had the old standalone version or a newer one?

@Marksfish I have 6.5.4, the later versions do not work on Linux, and in any case, I have a 'lifetime' licence for it. Also, I didn't particularly like the later versions.

I don't have a VM, although I do have a W7 machine - which is very rarely connected to the net - it is only used for one specific purpose that rarely needs it 'online'.
