Email phishing from zero to deluge

Just received another 6 junk / spam / scam emails

They are instantly recognisable as such

I forwarded them all to the government scam website  report@phishing.gov.uk

and then deleted them

Why can't Plusnet just provide the service that we are paying for and which they used to provide

Received about 25 very obvious junk emails today !!  Plusnet should have prevented these coming to me.

The Plusnet service has gone very much downhill ever since Greenby was announced

All the junk email protection seems to have been turned off.

This is not going to encourage me to stay with Plusnet when my current contract expires ...

Received exactly 50 spam / scam / phishing emails just this morning !

It's non-stop !  Where is the service we are paying Plusnet for ?

For 20+ years it all worked fine ... then Plusnet handed over to Greenby ,,,

Now Plusnet are taking the money but NOT providing the service !!

Not that it matters to me (I only get maybe one or two dodgy emails a day, sometimes none), but strangely enough, I had lots more in the past. The reduction in volume, though, occurred prior to my 'migration', which suggests to me that it is not the email platform you are on, rather where the spam is being directed by these 'bad actors'.

I still have not been migrated to Greenby

I've not received any notification about when I'll be on Greenby

So all my email is still on Plusnet

Exactly 150 spam / phishing / junk emails just arrived this morning !

Easy to spot as they are mostly (supposedly) from the same dozen or so US firms - see the attachment showing just one screenload ...

It's getting worse, not better.  Before handing over the email to Greenby, I had virtually no spam via Plusnet for over 20 years.

Not a good advert for Plusnet or Greenby as they both seem to have given up trying to stop the deluge !

I'm confused! (Not for the first time!)

But previously you said you had not yet been migrated to Greenby. Have you now been migrated?
You also said you were getting spam when you were still with Plusnet email - as others have reported.
Also, why are some who have been migrated to Grimby not seeing any increase in spam/phishing?

So, to my simple mind, the issue is spam, not Greenby.

So why has there recently been a great increase in spam (and seemingly not just with PN)? Unfortunately, I don't know...

It could just be one of those things: a large spamming operation has been instigated by somebody. And those already on 'spam lists' are getting spammed. Those not, aren't.

Perhaps it might even be worth bearing in mind the current global geopolitical situation.
