Anyone else using Plusnet email not able to send to gmail addresses? Every time I send I get a non-delivery report.

Re: Emails not being delivered to gmail addresses

Yes. I'm getting a lot headed like this:

This is the mail system at host gateway1.enmail.co.

I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not
be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below.

For further assistance, please send mail to postmaster.

If you do so, please include this problem report. You can
delete your own text from the attached returned message.

Re: Emails not being delivered to gmail addresses

Yes. I've been in touch with Greenby yesterday and here's the response I got . . .

"I'm sorry to see you're having trouble sending emails to that Gmail address. Looking at the error message you've provided, it appears that Gmail's filters are flagging the messages as unsolicited.

We're aware of issues with delivery, either emails going into spam, or delivery issues to Gmail, iCloud, and other providers relating to DKIM (a type of email authentication).

We are working with BT to resolve this as quickly as possible. We are aiming to have this solved within a week, but we cannot be more accurate than this currently".

It's a ridiculous situation as far as I'm concerned. I don't know whether any other email providers are having the same issue or whether it's just Greenby.

Yes. It's well known and there are whole forum threads dedicated to it.

It really is. Extremely frustrating.

That's odd. Until I started this thread, the latest discussion thread in the Email forum was posted last year.

Re: Emails not being delivered to gmail addresses

It is not just PN  having these issues with Gmail (and Microsoft). Basically, these two behemoths are intentionally making life difficult for many other mail providers, I suspect, but can't prove, obviously, so they can eliminate the opposition and then harvest data when they have 'persuaded' you to use them in preference.

I note that we had a similar issue a while back, which got 'resolved', only for the refusal reason to change.

@mooremj

Try this for light reading https://community.plus.net/t5/Email/Problems-sending-to-gmail/td-p/2041690

It seems that Greenby's standard reply is that they hope to have it sorted in a week but there is no sign of a solution.

I've PM'd @Chris_S a couple of times since then but he had no news.
