I and many others suffered from that some months ago (though not with totalise), which tended to get worse the nearer to the end of an hour it was. You could try sending again soon after the start of an hour and see if that helps.

The last sending error was at 17:34 yesterday and it was an attempted test message to my wife's totalise email. Here is the error message I received (no such error message received for previous failed email sends)

Delivery to the following recipients failed permanently: * XXXX@totalise.co.uk Reason: A message that you sent to the following recipient could not be delivered due to a permanent error. ** The remote server ?? responded with: ** XXXX@totalise.co.uk ??:?? I'm getting the same error message this evening from my wife's madasafish.com account when she is attempting to send to one hotmail account and another message to a gmail account. Looking back through the thread its been quite a few months since anyone reported issues sending to gmail. Here are the error message and header info.

After forwarding the message from my wife's email, I've sent the message to the same gmail account from my totalise account, without receiving an immediate error message, so possibly an issue with the madasafish domain?
I know my account is now hosted by Greenby, but am not sure if that is true for my wife's madasafish account.
