Re: Old, read, posts appearing as 'new'

@James_B I know, from past experience, that getting a straight and truthful answer from Khorus is like getting blood out of a stone, but would you like to poke them - again?

This situation is ridiculous, and we have already provided evidence.

Re: Old, read, posts appearing as 'new'

Sorrt to bang on about this, @James_B , but today is like Groundhog Day - every time I come back to the forum, I get an increasingly long list of 'unread posts' - including some of my own - that are NOT  unread!

It's looking like it could be a platform wide issue, @jab1

I'll let you know as soon as I get an update on the ticket.

It's been OK for me this morning @jab1 ... so far!

@James_B Thank you. Presumably your 'award winning' providers do employ qualified staff?

But that didn't last long, it's now back to "ridiculous".  Sad

Re: Old, read, posts appearing as 'new'

Unless I'm going blind or missing something, another 'platform error' has just surfaced this evening - now you can't see whose online - although what you could see was a little deceptive, as the list only showed those who had logged in in the last hour.

Seriously, @James_B , have your lords and masters decided to 'encourage' Khorus to make the forum increasingly less useful, or have they taken it upon themselves?

Maybe scratch the above post - it appears that element has partially returned.

Re: Old, read, posts appearing as 'new'

It has partially returned - you cannot hover over the avatar and read the users forum name - not a big problem when there is a picture on it, but a pain when it is just the default silhouette.

Re: Old, read, posts appearing as 'new'

Are you still seeing the avatar issue, @jab1?

It's working at my end on Edge but can test other browsers if you're still seeing it.

@James_B No - the avatar issue seems to have resolved itself overnight, but was still there at about 11PM when I switched off.

Re: Old, read, posts appearing as 'new'

Avatar rendition issues come and go … much like the wind; no one knows where it comes from nor where it goes to.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Suspect you might be right @James_B because I'm having the same problem with unread posts on the EE forum this morning.

@bobpullen And strangely, I didn't see it all day yesterday, and (so far) not today.
