Re: Pricing/Terms changes - October 2013

No mention of legacy Unlimited but, as I have my phone with PN, I assume I'll just have to pay the increased line rental same as KevinG.

If you currently pay £13.99/mnth then yes, that's right.

Re: Pricing/Terms changes - October 2013

Actually a closer inspection on my bills shows I have 'Talk any time charge' @ £13.99 plus 'Call plan charge '@ £4.
Can I assume that the Talk any time charge is really Line rental and the Call plan charge is actually the Talk any time charge?
Edit: Sounds a daft question but just want to be sure Undecided

Re: Pricing/Terms changes - October 2013

I'm on the Unlimited package at £12.49 a month (non-fibre and BB only).
Will I be seeing a price increase ?

Re: Pricing/Terms changes - October 2013

As far as I can tell Cagney1994, if you took out your unlimited BB before mid June then you should not have an increase.
I took out my unlimited BB before mid June and I have talk anytime, so if I understand correctly, my bill will increase by £1.50, for the phone side of things, and no increase for the BB . Well that is until the next price hike.

Re: Pricing/Terms changes - October 2013

Can this two month advanced notice set a precedence for the future, so that forum members and existing customers always get two months warning about changes to terms, conditions, and pricing ?.
Several of the Plusnet customers on my referrals list and other friends were waiting to see how I got on when I changed over to 'Unlimited', but days after I did so the £2.50 surcharge was introduced.  Now those customers are somewhat disillusioned with Plusnet prices as they missed the opportunity to switch products at the pre-surcharge rate.
If I had been aware of imminent price changes, then I could have encouraged my friends to change product immediately and they would all have been happy.  Instead, Plusnet have half a dozen disillusioned and slightly annoyed customers who feel stuck on their legacy products, as nobody wants to take the Plusnet phone package because they are happy with their service from BT and will NEVER change.

Thanks James.
I took BB-alone just last week. In June the price for that was £9.99; then in July it went to £12.49 (which is what it is now). How can PN justify another prince increase about 4 weeks later ?? Shocked

There isn't. The latest increase does not affect the current Essentials & Unlimited prices. Your price of £12.49 will remain the same.

I'm eagerly awaiting my e mail to notify me of the changes and then it's goodbye and I would not be surprised if I am one of a few

Re: Pricing/Terms changes - October 2013

I signed up last week to unlimited (activation due 8/8/13) and home phone from o2 and BT resp. Beginning to wish I hadn't reading all this. Still. I guess (hope), having only just contracted, the prices I signed up for (£9.99-£5/m for a year and £14.50/m LR) will remain for that year?Huh

Re: Pricing/Terms changes - October 2013

Still awaiting that email guys... Found out courtesy of ThinkBroadband.com :
http://www.thinkbroadband.com/news/5970-annual-price-season-is-upon-us-once-more-at-plusnet.html
Why exactly is this 'surcharge' of £1.50 [per month +vat?] being introduced? Does PlusNet have to pay extra costs for using the copper of other networks and deem it necessary to pass its costs onto their customers, at cost? Or is it simply a predatory marketing tactic to force PlusNet customers away from using alternative providers?
An honest answer please for your customers?
