Work VPN occasionally dropping

I’m just logging on to my work laptop to see what happens.

Apologies in advance if this has fixed it and you’ve all gone to this level of trouble to help.

Right, I’m happy, but also embarrassed to report that moving the cable from the WAN to the other port has fixed the issue.

I blame the Ethernet cable having a yellow tip which corresponded to the WAN! But also it’s obviously a huge oversight on my part.

Never had a PN Hub, but I thought the WAN  port was red?

Let's hope all is well now, it was interesting to get to the bottom of the issue.

It was a joint effort with myself, @MisterW and @Townman who braved testing out our theory of what was happening.

The ports are marked up 1 2 3 WAN.

The word WAN is on a red label above the port and is next to the DC cable socket

OK @Dan_the_Van - thanks. I'm sure there used to be pictures of the backs of the Hubs on the PN help pages, but not any more, and I, obviously mistakenly thought the Hub2, at least had a red WAN port.

No matter - the OP is sorted.

Worse still, we were all nearly 15 years younger back then! Where has the time gone!

It did, yeah! It wasn’t as fast as when we had Sky broadband prior to this, but it worked most of the time. Just used to freeze occasionally when streaming on iPlayer etc.
