Outbound VPN (FortiVPN) No longer Working Since Static Address Assigned

I recently moved to a static IP address and ever since then the FortiVPN has stopped working on both my work laptops. I think it uses UDP 500 and UDP 4500, but I can find no way to track if these are being blocked. my other VPN, a Cisco AnyConnect appears to work.

Is there anyway to check any logs and see whats going on?

Hi @keithdw
Plusnet static IP's have different routing and an extra feature the Plusnet firewall.
You can see what it is set to on your account:
https://www.plus.net/member-centre/broadband/firewall
If it is not set to off it could be blocking VPN traffic.
Unfortunately Plusnet currently have an issue prevetning customers changing the firewall settings.

Have you confirmed the firewall setting?
If it is set to high it will need a plusnet staff member like @Gandalf to assit with changing the firewall.

Hmmm...

'High' setting

The 'High' setting blocks all ports, preventing unauthorised connections from the Internet to your computer.

This isn't how firewalls work, though... particularly not if the session is a reply. i.e. if i create the VPN to the provider, the return traffic should simply traverse the PS firewall as it is return traffic.

Firewalls work by blocking unsolicited AND blocked, traffic.

Yes, it is set to HIGH and trying to change doesn't appear to work and timesout.
