Re: Internet slow IP profile changed

You should be able plug your phone into microfilter into the test socket?

Re: Internet slow IP profile changed

ahh yes I forgot about that. How would using a filter be different to the built in bit?

Re: Internet slow IP profile changed

Thanks for monitoring it and for the results.

Testing your line is showing a sync rate of 3.2mbps and the IP/BRAS profile is still present, capping the speed.

Mind leaving the router in the test socket over the weekend, and if it doesn't recover by Monday we'd then arrange an engineer visit to investigate this?

Filters can fail - even BTOR supplied ones.

Re: Internet slow IP profile changed

HI thanks for that.

The speed has improved slightly but a BT whole sale test is still saying my max speed is 2Mbps. I will see if I have another filter but I dont think I have.

Re: Internet slow IP profile changed

BT Wholesale tests are not always useful.  Data from your router is more informative.  Ignore (for the moment the BT speed test in the following...

Please post your router stats; for PN TG582n and 2704n routers use the buttons below, for other routers look at the Kitz link.

Also run a BT Wholesale speed test (ideally using an Ethernet wired PC with the WiFi turned off) then run the further diagnostics and post the results here. DO NOT REBOOT the router!

Also find your CURRENT SPEED (PlusNet line profile) from the PlusNet user portal - you will need to log in.
