Thanks for that.
I was going to suggest this tomorrow but I couldn't remember whether it was a customer submission or an ISP one.

This really isn't making sense. If the Checker says not available how have your neighbours been able to order Full Fibre
Its as though the BTw database has reverted to an older version which is based on the old U/G infrastructure!
It must have updated at some point to cover the new FTTP O/H supply, otherwise the neighbours couldnt have ordered it. Data for their addresses would have been updated to 'ONT exists with active service...' at some point but all that seems to have been 'lost' .
Hopefully the Openreach form may produce results.
Note, reading through the form their is a link to an Openreach (as opposed to BTw) checker https://www.openreach.com/fibre-checker . @Alfaman if you haven't already , it may be worth checking with that. I dont know if that works off the same data but it would be interesting to check.

Hi all and good morning! As per Gandalf's suggestion, I have sent the form off to Openreach - this is what I wrote:
Openreach have installed broadband fibre carrying poles on my estate and at least 2 neighbours have cables running from the poles to their properties. I have used the BT broadband address checker and it says that FTTP is not available at my house and surprisingly also at the houses which clearly have fibre installed. I am wondering whether this is an OpenReach database integrity issue. ISPs ( Plusnet Vodafone SKY, BT) also state that only part fibre is available at my property ( I already have part fibre and want to upgrade to full fibre). No idea what is going on. Openreach engineers were about and they said that FTTP was available at my property but it clearly is not. I have used the fibre checker and it states that full fibre is available but it is not BT only lists a fibre essential package at 20 - 36Mbs.
Something should happen and I shall keep you updated.

Are you saying that the Openreach checker I linked to above shows full fibre available ?

Hi yes it does. It also gives a long list of ISPs delivering full fibre broadband but when I click on these ( I tried BT) the only package listed is the part fibre connection. It's the same with 5 other ISPs. I'll see if anything happens in the next few days as a result of the form I posted to Open reach - if not I'll just sign on for anothet FTTC 18Mbs contract with PN and wait to be offered an upgrade.

Hi yes it does.
That would seem to confirm that something is wrong with the BTwholesale database. Hopefully the form will trigger Openreach to do some checking rather than just reply with 'computer says No'

That form should get you sorted.
As soon as you get a reply action it. As I recall it can take up to 5 working days for a response and then a day or two to update the database. As soon as they do, get your order in.
Unless they come back and say there's a problem in which case order SOGEA to get you bill down and upgrade at a later date.

Thanks Brian will do. Oh BTW there was a guy climbing up Pole 2 this morning and running a cable to another house. It's all very odd.

Dear All,
Latest from Openreach:
Thanks for getting in touch with us through the Openreach website about faster broadband.
I've looked into your enquiry, and we’ll need to investigate this further. I’ve passed it on to our offline team to review.
One of us will be back in touch within 5 working days.
We’ve got all your details, so there’s nothing else we need from you right now. Thanks for your patience while we look into this.

Dear All,
I think it's all sorted - gor the msg below as well as a phone call from BT
We’re sorry for the problem you’ve been having ordering fibre broadband.
The fibre network has been built in your area, and having corrected our records, you’ll now be able to place an order.
Thanks to all for the invaluable help. As many of you suspected, it was a database issue....

Good news I hope.
Has Full Fibre showed up on PN as available to order and, have you placed an order?

Hi yes, full fibre is coming up on PN so it does seem to have been sorted. I'm a little wary of losing my landline (despite the fact that I never use it) but its nice to know its there so I might have to use an alternative supplier. I looked at Vodafone and they include the landline at no cost - you only pay for the landline calls you make. But still haven't made a decision.....

Went back to re-read the thread.
You're out of contract so the sooner you sign up the sooner you start saving money
If you stay with PN you could port your number to A&A (£15 port fee and £1.50pm I think). One months out of contract price would more or less pay for a year with A&A. AS far as I can remember it's a 30 day contract so nothing binding as such. No need to change phones or spend money as you could set your A&A account to permanent Answer Phone. This emails you a copy of any messagess received.
https://www.aa.net.uk/voice-and-mobile/voip-information/
This gives you a wide choice in future over your internet provider as any phone service is separate.
Note that PN cannot be far away from sending you the dreaded email saying you have 30 days to sort your phone out or we move you EE.

Hi yes, friends of mine with PN have already received notification of the move to EE if they don't do anything. I suppose EE is an alternative to keep the landline _ I'll have a look at their packages. Muchos gracias Brian!
