Hi again something's not right. A few doors down from me someone has had a full fibre connection from the newly installed pole so the network must be active. But Plusnet still only offers me a part fibre option ( which is what I'm on at the moment). Tried to call the number you gave 0800 013 2362 but no joy - automated msg saying " You've dialled an incorrect number" ...?

Yes it was interesting but I am a biologist and it was just one computing course on the degree - had to write small programs in Fortran (or could be COBOL or BASIC I don't remember 😀). I told this to my current students and they had no idea what I was talking about. I wrote my PhD thesis on a BBC Model B and printed it all out on a dot matrix printer. Height of technology in the mid 80's !!!!

Hi Sent a text msg to Plusnet explaining the problem and mentioning that it might be an Openreach Database Integrity issue and a bot replied offerring to check the line which was not the question I asked! There's nothing wrong with the line!

Can you use the Address version of the Checker to get your neighbours results and take a screen image of the whole page (hiding details of course) Then check you address again.

"Hello and welcome to PlusNet" if I call it! Definitely the correct number and I've used it a few times. Just tested it. 2632 not 2362.

Hi yes my mistake did call the correct number and there was a 25 minute wait so I gave up. Don't really know where the excellent customer service reputation of Plusnet is based on. They don't have an email address where you can post a query, the phone lines always have waits of between 25 to 30 minutes, there isn't even an automated call back facility which most companies have, texts are answered (incorrectly and inaccurately ) by bots etc. If it wasnt for the excellent Plusnet Community, there would be no help at all !

As far as I'm aware the only text facility is to report a fault , there is no facility to ask questions by text.
When reporting a fault by text, the bot will automatically run a line test and reply

Hi Brian did what you suggested and used my neighbours address where full fibre has been installed - I can see the cable going into the house from the pole. Surprisingly it says that FTTP is not available - see below:
There was an Openreach van about and I stopped to talk to them they confirmed that full fibre FTTP was available to my address. They also checked USwitch and noticed that the only provider not offering a FTTP package to my address was Plusnet. None of this makes any sense! Might have to move away from Plusnet.....

That above, @Alfaman , clearly states that FTTP is not available, so far as BTWholesale are aware, so no supplier using their network will offer it. I suspect that those records are incorrect.

Hi John - both BT and EE ( part of the BT group) have full fibre packages to my address. The only one grayed out is Plusnet....

Yes, loads of other providers are offerring multiple packages at different download speeds e.g. EE full fibre 150 at £22.99 a month. That'll do me nicely - I'd be paying more or less that for the Plusnet part fibre FFTC 18Mbs download which is the speed I currently have . Seriously considering switching.
