BT have replaced a card at the exchange which seems to have fixed the problem.

Unless this is another fault, the BT update says the card hasn't been replaced yet (it will be replaced tomorrow morning between 02:00 - 06:00)

Faulty card has been costed out to prevent further issues. Replacement card ordered for change out during maintenance window 02:00-06:00.

Well,

I think it's fairly safe to say that the issue has been well and truly fixed...

Re: FTTC speed or lack there of.

Any idea what was the issue as it seems you were incorrectly advised it was a capacity issue..
Also I believe forum member Finguz  has been given some sort of compensation for the lack of service we all experienced?

Re: FTTC speed or lack there of.

It appears that it was a line card issue at the exchange that has been replaced. Generally we don't offer refunds unless the service was down and/or unusable.
Has your connection stopped you doing anything that you normally would be able to do?

Re: FTTC speed or lack there of.

Just for clarity, I've had no compensation so far,  and no update to my ticket. It's pretty clear that our speed issue has been fixed though.
I'll contact Mr Pettitt on Monday ( plenty of chance for this fix to go wrong if it's going to ) and see where we go from there  Cool
@ChrisP Just fyi, we haven't been able to stream or use video on Skype since this started. Browsing was a lottery after 7p.m. too.
