FTTC install, no difference in DL speed...

Had my line changed to Plusnet Fibre today, but have a problem...
The Engineer tested the line at my home and it was 'getting maximum 40Mbps' and 'almost the same as at the cabinet' which is not too far away...  PN and BT et al checkers previously reported estimates around 38 - 41Mbps.  I'm guessing that my BTo profile is 40/10 whereas from the engineer results I could probably get higher rates on the 80/20.
However, that's not my major problem!
The BTW speedtester shows a profile of 38.72Mbps down and 2Mbps up however I'm currently getting 5.7Mbps down and 1.2Mbps up.  This equates to the PN profile for my old DSL service.
I've raised a note on a previous  call, and created a new one but have had no response - if there are any staffers looking at this, could they tweak my PN profile please????

Hi Brewster,
Your account details hadn't updated to reflect your new product, I've amended this now so you should see the speed increase. I've also placed a modify order to move you over to the 80/20 product as you're maxing at 40Mb/s currently. This will complete tomorrow.
Let me know how you get on.
