Re: Disconnects - Help Please

@willcutforth

Many of those drops are 2-3am typical time for BTw engineering works or indeed DLM line adjustments.  Is there any evidence to support that please?

Re: Disconnects - Help Please

So You are suggesting daily dropouts is fine?

Because there is a pattern mostly as you say early morning

But it's not usual is it !

And who on earth is doing such work at those early hours. I don't get it.

Day after day?

Re: Disconnects - Help Please

Major work is done in the early hours, especially automated stuff.  Something physical has to be responsible for breaks at such regular times.  This first step is to ask the right questions.

I do believe that where, for whatever reason DLM action is profiling a line, that happens at 2am.

It's 5.30am now, so it went down just around or before 5am today 16th

Re: Disconnects - Help Please

Hi @superuser, line tests aren't showing us any obvious issues for the disconnection. If you haven't already would you be able to try connecting into the test socket for a while so we can see if the same issue happens?

Adam

I might be able to. I'd need to see if I can find a microfilter, not sure I have any, pretty sure I don't.

The issue might just be I live in Argyll. What goes down here in every aspect of life is just unbelievable

Re: Disconnects - Help Please

@adamwalker

Is there any evidence of DLM adjustments or BTw engineering works at the time of the disconnections?

Re: Disconnects - Help Please

The other explanation is a switching spike on some timer controlled appliance. Will your router work with router stats. See the link below.

It's running now

Switching Spike? You mean perhaps like a heating thermostat?

Re: Disconnects - Help Please

Because that's the only device that perhaps comes on at night, but it's never that regular.

I actually just triggered it to come on and off but no effect
