Hi Adam,

Engineer just left and when I asked him what the problem was,  he said everything seemed fine. He just said keep an eye on it.

@patti If you are still suffering drops, less than 24hrs after an engineer says 'it all looks fine' then there is still something wrong. Any idea what the engineer did?

John,

To be honest, he was here for about 20 minutes or so then he left, saying he was off to check the connection, he was gone for about 40 minutes.. when he left I asked him what was wrong and he really didn't seem to know I did mention that Plusnet had said there was a fault on the landline but he didin't answer me.. (not the most talkative person I ever met).. he said he had replaced something but I didn't hear him properly. So what do I do now?

You could report the problem again, but I suspect the answer would be 'it's only happened once since the engineer visit, just keep your eyes on it'.

A couple of questions: which hub do you have, which master socket, do you want further help, and (don't take offence) how technical are you?

Just dropped again this time longer.. I just called Plusnet and explained the issues. It was mentioned it might be a REIN issue as per the Engineer's report..  (it only happens in the afternoon) It is being left until Monday and then, if it's still dropping the connection it will be reported to Openreach and another Engineer will come and have a look. I have been with Plusnet for years and although there have been drops they have been fixed. Fingers crossed it might stabilise itself.

I have passed the issue back to our supplier as their testing has not found anything through automation and we are most likely going to need to book an engineer. We will keep you updated!! Smiley
