Re: Cannot access www.delicious.com / rapidshare.com

Same here, both sites accessible again via the thn-ag2 gateway following this afternoon's maintenance work. Thanks to the Support guys for a speedy resolution, and everyone on the forum for providing invaluable feedback and comments.

Re: Cannot access www.delicious.com / rapidshare.com

Looks like this problem has come back again  Angry
Various websites, including http://pix.nofrag.com/, http://www.delicious.com/ have just stopped working for me (at around 11pm I noticed it)
http://rapidshare.com as well...
All sites are fine going through a proxy server.
I am, of course, on the thn-ag2 gateway

Re: Cannot access www.delicious.com / rapidshare.com

[quote=Rapidshare]Your IP-address 212.159.3.233 is already downloading a file. You have to wait until it is finished.
212.159.3.233 : pcl-iwfcache01.plus.net
It appears that sites checked against the IWF list are being given the wrong IP. This behaviour is not acceptable.
Not only does this create a situation where multiple users are sharing the same IP when accessing the site, but it also completely breaks downloads when the file request page is checked against the IWF list, but the download itself is not due to being on a different server (or vice versa).
The result is that the download request page sees the above IP but the download page sees my actual IP, causing the file to be impossible to access.

Re: Cannot access www.delicious.com / rapidshare.com

I started getting the above error message this morning, actually I am sometimes getting the more alarming message of "you have exceeded your download limit, please wait xxx mins etc." from the site (obviously someone else using the same IP has used the bandwidth, however still gives you a heart dropping moment and sent me running to plusNETs usage monitor to check no-one had hijacked my connection.
Not happy, this is two weekends in a row!

Re: Cannot access www.delicious.com / rapidshare.com

Hi there,
Sorry about this, it does sound like a problem that needs looking into. I'll get it raised up to our networks team and let you know as soon as there are any updates.
Sorry for the hassle,

Re: Cannot access www.delicious.com / rapidshare.com

Hi, have the same problem too. Plus.net customer support suggested it was because i had some kind of malware on my PC..
I reported that i recieved messages akin to this :- "YOU ARE CURRENTLY CONNECTED TO OUR SYSTEM WITH THE FOLLOWING IP ADDRESS: 212.159.3.234 THIS ADDRESS HAS DOWNLOADED A TOTAL OF 611MB IN THE LAST HOUR ALREADY."
and the reply I recieved was the following which i did not dignify with a response to them (Won't mention the agents name)
"We do not send messages of this kind, it is likely spyware or malware. I recommend performing a scan to check for this."
It's about time something was done about this as it's been happening for quite some time now.  Angry

Re: Cannot access www.delicious.com / rapidshare.com

That sounds like a rapidshare message itself.  Have you downloaded a lot from there?

Re: Cannot access www.delicious.com / rapidshare.com

Kelly, I think the point here is that it is the IWF cache that has downloaded a lot from rapidshare, which is coming from many different customers.

Re: Cannot access www.delicious.com / rapidshare.com

Unfortunately the above is the case, we're unable to remove the rapidshare address from the IWF lists becasue we are forbidden from changing them by law. Unfortunately the only way around this is to buy a pass from rapidshare as this works via cookie/login rather than IP address.
Apologies for the inconvenience,
Kelly

Interesting comment there Matt, The IWF filter is voluntary, and it has been stated before that PlusNet can audit/control the lists.

I hope that wasn't me... as far as I understand it we're not allowed to even look at the lists let alone make changes to them.
