Well its all VERY weird....  I have just rang up and had a dynamic ip address assigned and its now working as it should....
Not quite sure what has gone wrong but its now working.

whilst not averse to this - surely it would be on a per pc basis and it would be very strange that 6 pc's would be affected?  or am I mis-understanding how it all works

I know it's sorted, but for future reference if it was the MTU setting on the router it could affect all the PCs.
