Just plugged it all back in - so hopefully someone got a test in, in the last couple of hours.
Ran the same test, RouterStats then rang the landline twice - same issue on the stats, noise margin dropping so I think this is now becoming obvious that the fault is not with my equipment and that the rectified loop is somewhere else on the line.
Whats the next step?

Quote from: _Adam_Walker_ the line tests all came back as no fault found
Hang on! Previous test were indicating that there was a solid fault that looked like it was internal.
Quote from: Knotty I have removed the extension in preparation and therefore the landline phone!
Haven't you just proved it's the extension wiring that is faulty?

Unfortunately not jelv, I've had at least 4 disconnects in the last hour and the extension hasn't been connected since last night. I just had routerstats showing me a signal noise of 60 too!
Anyway, as I said on the phone, many thanks for your call tonight Adam, and for all the helpful replies so far from everyone else.
Lets hope BT don't take too long to come out.

Not necessarily, the tests I performed after the OP replaced the master socket came up as NFF with everything disconnected and with everything connected.

Is their any update on this issue for me? I've noticed the by cap of 135k has come off but I am sure it's been disconnecting loads still, could you do one of those graphs showing the disconnects again for me please?
Cheers,
Knotty

BT engineer been and gone - tests all clear after some tinkering with my line where it comes into the house.
I still get a drop in signal noise if I ring the house phone - maybe this is normal!
Can you guys reset my SNR and remove the 2Mb cap for me please? I would like to monitor it today at full speed to see if the problem is gone.
Thanks again for everyones help.

Done, that should take around 2 hours.

To be honest that's not normal, I'll update you as to where we can take things next after the engineer notes become available to us.
