I can see the router issue coming up quite a bit - particularly if people are using their own routers. I assume Plusnet would have to put some disclaimer that it's only supported with certain routers provided by them.

Agreed. It was like that for a long time but when Ileft people were starting to support any d-link or netgear as it was all the same GUI.

Will PN / Technicolor, upgrade the firmware to cater for the YouView boxes, like TalkTalk did ?Huh

The things you've mentioned have been taken into serious consideration.

Cheers Chris
I thought as much tbh Smiley
The other alternative would be a different router altogether
Maybe another trial (if so) well, (hopefully) Wink Hint Hint

Re: Youview update

errr no. it's basically a freeview dvr with the ability to stream to a device, there aren't any IPTV channels with that so not sure you can compare.

Re: Youview update

no it doesn't, there's a difference between supplying a service and supplying a box.

Re: Youview update

Well you have your opinion I'll have mine.
More money to EE for something PN cannot supply yet - that point you can not dispute!

Well Xmas is here and the turkey is getting fat!
Any news on this happening or is it as dead as a dodo.

Re: Youview update

Ive given up on Youview, I was a trialist, and during the trial my box died, it was replaced and it too has died after 18 months, the quality of the Humax boxes is low.

Re: Youview update

Not sure how you have had two boxes and the second one was supplied eighteen months ago when the start of the trial was only announced twelve months ago and then people had to apply to be on it.

Re: Youview update

godsell4 could have been referring to the original YouView trial not the PN trial.
