You are not in the UK

I have no problem downloading and using the BBC iplayer, ITVHub or All4 but when I try to use UKTV which installs ok I get the message, you do not appear to be in the UK and can only watch this if you are in the UK ?

Why would UKTV not recognise Plusnet as being in this country or is this problem down to something else ?

Not important if this can't be solved, I am more curious than anything.

Sometimes in the past when i used Teamspeak voice coms it shown me being in america when i was in the uk, could it be down to plusnet routing or whatever ?

It's down to UKTV or the supplier of their software which maps the IP address to country not keeping their database up to date.

I remember when i was in Canada and i desperately wanted to access some channels from UK but they were blocked because of the Geo-restrictions. My friend suggested me to use PureVPN there and it works for me. You can access these channels by changing your IP via PureVPN
