Hi Guys,

Can someone tell me what VPN is and direct me to a site which can explain in detail what VPN is?

How does one get VPN?

Many thanks,

Chandu.

Re: VPN

Linky

I must have been really bad in a previous life as this was my 3rd ISP in a row that used lithium.
Now you're stuck with me because my new ISP doesn't run a forum Cheesy

Re: VPN

It's such a vague question but the answers are available on my link, you just need to use some grey matter.

Re: VPN

Thanks, Browne, I did not see your Linky. Lacking the grey matter, I suppose!!!

Re: VPN

VPN's have a very legitimate and arguably a fair few illegitimate reasons to be used.

Do you mind if I ask what task one is doing where you have identified you "want" a VPN yet don't know what they are and how they work?

Re: VPN

Fix
@ steveocee, Thanks for your asking. I have heard people talking about VPN and I was curious to find out what it was and how can one use the VPN. Being OAP with considerable amount of grey matter lacking (as Browni kindly pointed out in his post above), I think I have no need to use the VPN. Our normal PlusNet network should suffice my needs. To all who responded to this query (including Browni), a BIG Thank you to you all. Have a great week (what is left of it) and Thanks.
