Thompson 585v7 set-up. HELP !!!

I had to reload my Win XP then started to reload my missing programs: When I started the set-up process for the 585v7 (according to the instructions) I could not get the Broadband setup page to show on my browser. I am using my other PC (wireless)  to send this enquiry so assuming the 585 is running OK...
ASDL cable is secure with an orange led on constantly plus a yellow led flashing. The led is running "green" at the router so I am assuming it is an issue with the reload setup. There have been no changes except for the XP reload.

Re: Thompson 585v7 set-up. HELP !!!

I am assuming that you are trying wired
The first question is whether the network driver has been loaded
If you go into Device Manager is there a yellow or red tick next to the network device

Re: Thompson 585v7 set-up. HELP !!!

Hi:
Found Device Manager and the hardware list had a yellow question mark against the Ethernet controller...
The reason being that no driver was present and asked for it to be re-installed...
However the Resource disk has no drivers for this device and the Broadcom drivers had no effect on the Ethernet Controller either.

Re: Thompson 585v7 set-up. HELP !!!

You need the driver for your motherboard network device
Moved to Windows as this isn't router related
