Power line adapter not working with new router.

If i plug my laptop to router via ethernet i get over 930mb dl/ul. But that's useless as the router/modem is next to front door.

P.S Router location same place as old bt hub/plusnet router.

The modern is plugged into the 1gb port via cat 6 cable. Powerline adapter connected via spare ethernet port on router.
