Opening Ports

Hi I got a gramofon to stream spotify at Christmas and want to use a feature in the most recent firmware. it seems this will be offered when ready but the help says
Firmware version 3.1.9 is being rolled-out as of December 11th 2015 and will be available to everyone in the weeks to come. Instead of pushing the upgrade command automatically as for previous upgrades, you will be able to choose the moment in which you would like to perform this change. If you use a firewall, please make sure that port 7547 is opened to enable the upgrade.
How would i do that with the standard plusnet Technicolor TG582n.

It may just work. It doesn't say inbound needs opening. Some places may run firewalls that block outbound connections on unusual ports, but home router firewalls typically allow any outbound connection.

Since you are instigating the upgrade you don't need to open any ports, as they will be opened automatically (or should be).
