Massive packet loss

I have been getting a delay when connecting to any website.

I have run a utility on my PC which shows that there is almost 100% packet loss to plusnet server 129.hiper04.sheff.dial.plus.net.uk. After 1 or 2 seconds it hands over to 128.hiper04.sheff.dial.plus.net.uk and all is then good.

I have tried reporting to plusnet but they do not deal with packet loss.

Can anyone on this forum report a possible problem with server 129?

Re: Massive packet loss

@dennish2 - what utility and are you able to share the output?

It is not end to end packet loss if subsequent servers are responding in good time. Not every 'hop' your traffic goes through is necessarily configured to respond to the ping requests I'm assuming the utility you're using is sending.
