Re: Hub 2 requires factory reset roughly every 2 weeks

@fozid

What was your internet connection doing between 8:00 to 8:20 this morning, causing dropped packets ?

The packet loss seems to be coincident with about 20 minutes of, what looks like sustained uploading to the internet.

Seeing the latency shown in yellow, be holding at about 30ms, probably indicates your nginx upload rate limiter is working.

If I'm right (that your web server was uploading something big), perhaps try dialling down the nginx rate limiter to 20Mbps, then see whether your BQM shows dropped packets in the coming days ?

On my home setup, I run rate limiters on my WAN (up and down, and IPv4 and IPv6), similarly on my WiFi access points, with each limiter tuned to within 0.1Mbps resolution of achieving minimum latency, maximum bandwidth, and zero packet loss.

Hopefully you can tweak your setup to achieve optimum performance and zero dropped packets.

dropped 10 out of 600 packets between 0803 and 0811 evenly spread across the time period. my internal server log showed no dropped packets, although it only send 1 packet every 5 mins. Ive changed that script to send 4 every 5 mins instead, although still unlikely to pick it up. will try altering the rate limit, see how that goes.

ok so its been a while since any issues, but today its back!! Getting loads of Dos(SYN Flooding) in the router logs around the times of the drops and think broadband tracking matches the drops time to. Tried restarting router. Nothing seems to resolve. I can unpluck and replug the wan port and i get internet back, but it then drops again minutes or hours later.
