Can anyone help me with a problem I have

Every morning at between 0830 and 0930 for the last few weeks I receive a text from Google  " Your Messenger verification code is G - ###### "

The problem is I don't use Google Messenger  ( don't really know what it is ) and therefore not asked for a code

Any ideas how to stop the texts I only receive a message once per day

I suspect someone has mistyped their email address in such a way that it matches yours. Therefore you are getting their verification codes and they of course keep re-trying.
I've just googled " google messemger verification code". Lots of info.
Some has either entered a wrong phone number, mistyped their email address or is p##sing about.
What can you do ? Not much I'm afraid. They might eventualy discover their mistake .... maybe?

Hi Bogbody ,

Its a text message on my mobile phone not an email and I only get one text a day in the morning

I would have thought if someone had entered my mobile number in error I would get the texts all day

At that time in the morning they could be setting up Google Messenger and not know/care its going wrong !!

IF your phone is android and modern enough report the sender of the text as spam. Hopefully that'll get google's attention.
