Extension bells on a landline

Asking for somone else. Rather old stuff.

Any alternatives when they are VoIPed?

They usually appear to be a phone.

Subject to the ability to provide ringing to the number of devices of the VoIP adaptor, in principle an extension bell should continue to work.

Modern phones tend to have a REN less than 1 so depening on the setup, connecting the bell into the "phone" connection of a VoIP adaptor may well work.

I fear I may have not phrased the whole.

The aforementioned extension bell is on the outside of a property, and is therefore subject to things like normal (ish) external UK weather.

P.S. I did trundle through Amazon and found stuff that may operate whilst isolated from external weather
