@VH3

On the iPhone or iPad with a browser open a "New TAB" and see if you can request a website like google.co.uk.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Re: Captive wifi

Tried that and it says that there is no network connection so can't bring up a page.

Re: Captive wifi

I think you may need to look at the Network DNS settings on the iPad - I can't help with how to do that.

Perhaps there is an entirely innocent explanation, but...

Crazy thought: They aren't located adjacent to any Plusnet corporate buildings, are they?

Could it possibly be that Wi-Fi login is working perfectly, but the router has lost its Plusnet network login credentials? Also, is their PN account up to date, paid for and still active?

Re: Captive wifi

Thanks.
I don't do Apple stuff but other family members do so I'll chat with them. I'm going to restart the iPad, to begin with, just incase that sorts the issue out 🤞🏻

Re: Captive wifi

This thread sounds similar and one of the pictures looks similar to the login page seen:

Re: Captive wifi

iPad DNS

Settings ->  Wi-Fi

Current connection should be top of the list with a blue tick in front of it.

To the right will be a circle with a ‘I’ in the centre, click this and the network settings will be shown…

@cpc6128

Great!

What's the X3N7 network?

Had to ask the AI on my phone - it's just the PN router Wi-Fi network... 🤔

Re: Captive wifi

@pvmb 'X3N7' is 'SeanT999's' network.

Re: Captive wifi

I  think the X3N7 network mentioned in that link is part of the name of one of the Plusnet wifi/networks that the original poster in that link could see and wished to re-connect to.

Re: Captive wifi

...Should be OK then.

Is it time to turn everything off and then to turn them on again? 🙂

Re: Captive wifi

I've tried that, router and iPad, and the same thing happens. I've also told the iPad to forgot the connection, and then I've reinstalled it, but the same thing happens. As soon as you tell it to use that network connection then it brings up the page I posted the photo of before. If I then login to that page it brings up the page attached here

Re: Captive wifi

@VH3 Nuclear option: Uninstall and reinstall the browser. I assume it is Safari?

Re: Captive wifi

...That's got to be some kind of Plusnet corporate page - not a router.
