Very odd gateway result

Early on the 17th Nov (about 2.00am) I had a PPP drop after which the gateway check showed Point of Presence - so I was on the new network (with a fixed IP address)

Last night there was a power cut and now the gateway check shows

You are currently connected to gateway pcl-ag04.

This is located in City Lifeline House.

How can this happen

Re: Very odd gateway result

Fix

Two of the BNG's have been relocated to Colindale and Southbank. You can connect to these whether you're on the old or new network (assuming you have a static IP in the latter case).

Re: Very odd gateway result

Hmmm. I've just gone the other way at 14:09, from ptn-ag03 to psb-bng01 (static IP) "Southbank Point of Presence". Presumably that confirms a "new network" connection?

I've been running at 51.56Mbps+/-510kbps (Samknows) since 1 Aug (with a few dips) and oscillating between 49.9Mbps and 51.5Mbps on pcl-bng03 for a fortnight before that - typical of the difference between the ag and bng devices for me. A BT test shows 52Mbps down (55/10 connection)
