Re: Plusnet Removes Broadband Internet Traffic Prioritisation

There is a lot of references to "unlimited" in this thread and how it is only people on "unlimited" packages that now no longer have traffic prioritisation.

I am on a 60GB per month limited package. Am I using "limited" in the same (opposite) sense to "unlimited" or are they different limits?

In other words, do I still get the benefits of traffic prioritisation?

Re: Plusnet Removes Broadband Internet Traffic Prioritisation

I posted back in message 70 that I had seen a change in behaviour from removal of prioritisation:
- Before the removal, I used to get Samknows test results of 68.7Mbps or 72.6Mbps, seemingly at random
- After the removal, I used to get results of pretty much only 72.6Mbps
- However, this was still short of what I ought to have received with a constant 80Mbps sync

The "after" behaviour continued through to September, right up to a few days ago (when I caused a resynced).

I just checked my recent results, and can see that (with the same sync speed), my speed has now jumped up by about 1.7Mbps. The tests are now 74.3Mbps regularly.

I note, interestingly, that the "missing" data_transfer_speed page is now showing a "current line speed" of 80Mbps, rather than the regular 77.4Mbps.
