I assume there will be some kind of announcement when they begin migrating large numbers of users. But I doubt there will be any explanation of the technical details of the new network. Nothing changes and for me, the only noticeable difference was slightly better latency.

ptn is telehouse north in London so your tracert isn't telling you anything about your routing.

Harry, will anyone who is on the new network see pcl/ptn/ptw as their first hop after the router? It was earlier suggested that some people would not see a routing change (i.e. their connection would still be tunnelled to the London gateways).

Expect a lower latency as the first external hop, probably on a ip with no rdns.

That's ptw-bng02 I think, it's just the rDNS is wrong.

The gateway checker shows me connected to pcl-ag02 so not sure why the 206.core.plus.net is there.
Bob - is there a way to tell when one is moved onto the new network?
