Re: One arm tied?

Thanks itsme,
I've been suitably educated on this matter. Although I understand what an I-plate does I am now suitably clued up as to how it does it too.
@exporters I'll check your ticket shortly.

Re: One arm tied?

Well, after messing around for so many weeks with a blind faith in two duff routers [Belkin & Thomson], after PN identified the likely problem & replaced with a third router, life is starting to look rosy again.
Line drops gone & stability looks good.  Data shots below.  Just waiting for PN side to match BT IP profile & speeds should start looking good as well. [relative for my line!].
All praise to the PN commitment, patience & help I've had; I hope this good note means the end of this 'Rant' thread.
Grateful thanks.

Cheers exporters,
Good to hear that things seem to have settled down for you. I'll take a look at your connection logs on Monday morning and will let you know if anything seems to be awry.

Re: One arm tied?

Adam, thank you for the early warning.
Confirming that after the blip of yesterday and various combinations of front plates
[ BT v10, Nation XTE-2005] etc to assess changes +/-, I now have in place [9.45am] the BT Iplate & using PN filter/spliter for phone & ADSL outputs.
Just attached current stats.
Will await further comments, please.
Regards, Ian

Re: One arm tied?

Well, here we are 8 days on from my previous comment; latest news with the dropping line/slow downloads saga is:-
- Steady as she goes but no drops affecting Sync.have been experienced.  Downloads are back to best they've been since joining PN last August.  I'm some distance from  BT exchange but I must say, BB is now a most pleasant experience, touching 4megs.
- I've experienced excellent b'up & communications from PN Support staff.  That in itself has been a motivator.
- Whilst my floor is littered with BT & ADSL Nation face plates, I''m now using a FX-1e ADSL Nation connection from BT master socket.  That, together with the new Thomson router [two previous routers had to be dumped] is all that I am aware has changed.  Can't believe though that all my frustrations over the weeks & months are simply down to these changes.  Maybe PN have a secret weapon somewhere.
- Early days I know & I have calmed down since original RANT.  Sincerely hope I do not experience another.
- Thank you for the various replies, tips & encouragement from many on this forum during the past three months.

Re: One arm tied?

Hi exporters,
That's fantastic news, hope it stays that way and sorry it went on for so long. If it does recur let us know and we'll pick it up again for you, though fingers crossed that you'll enjoy a good service from now on.
