McAfee on my Mac

Just wondering if Plusnet could look into providing McAfee for Mac's as well as PC's please. 🙂

Re: McAfee on my Mac

For many customers, Plusnet Protect aka McAfee has a monthly charge of £2 so it maybe better (and cheaper) to look elsewhere for antivirus software.

From https://www.plus.net/help/legal/plusnet-price-guide-for-residential-products/ section "Other charges for your Plusnet Broadband and Fibre Services"

Plusnet Protect Add-On (where chargeable) £2 a month

Sophos home for mac is free, from their website which I use

https://www.sophos.com/en-us/products/free-tools.aspx

Many people will say macs does not need it but I tend to disagree especially with the latest Flash Player Trojan

Re: McAfee on my Mac

As LifeonMars says, McAfee is included with my package and although i have a couple of PC's, being able to install on 7 PC's is far more than necessary (for most users) so perhaps a reduction on quantity of PC's but include MAC's should be the way to go (in my opinion). 😉

@thealiendad

I doubt Plusnet will  offer it for Mac as this issue was raised  when Plusnet Protect was launched in 2010 https://community.plus.net/t5/Plusnet-Blogs/Stay-safe-online-with-Plusnet-Protect/ba-p/1319047 and again in 2011 https://community.plus.net/t5/Tech-Help-Software-Hardware-etc/Plusnet-Protect-download-failure-Mac-u... and on many other occasions since without a change in policy.

Re: McAfee on my Mac

Personally, on my Mac I have at home, I just use Avast, which actually works really well. It's not expensive if you want to go for one their premium options either.
