Re: Lack of support from Plusnet

Hi Chris,
I selected that time period as that's when it gets more active, this evening I'll take one at a later one. At least the errors are not bad and really the only thing that concerns me, being unable to read DMT, is that snyc isn't dropping which means BT aren't interferring with my SNRM!, Jack.
Added Screenshot.
And another.

Re: Lack of support from Plusnet

Hi Jack,
well there's a couple of things not looking so good. First that last DMT shot. Did the plots look like that when you started that particular run, or did it go like that part way through or at the end? What I don't know is whether this is just an issue of DMT interfacing with the router, or whether it is reflecting some odd behaviour possibly due to interference.
The reason for the latter thought brings us to the second thing - the number of RS correctable errors has now gone through the roof - over an order of magnitude greater. It is also several orders greater than we've seen previously. This could ultimately lead to a lot more serious errors, and won't do a lot for efficiency of throughput either
RS correctable errors could be due to bursts of interference, keep an ear on you phone line also be observant for other possible sources.

Re: Lack of support from Plusnet

Hi Chris,
I think yesterday there were problems with my phone because last night I went to make a call and the phone wouldn't function at all, so today I've replaced it.
There were a couple  of anomolies I noticed this morning when checking the logs one the Router Loge registered at 10.06 "LCP Down", Ichecked the Netgear Forums and it appears to be a phone problem, it didn't show on the Routerstats logs but later on the RS Logs the Upstream and Downstream figures were juxtaposed! I'll add a screenshot of this, Jack.
I've erased the IP Address.

Re: Lack of support from Plusnet

Hi Chris,
I've on several occasions seen the top two graphs disappear and come back after a few seconds and took it to be a normal occurance.
Anyway here's the first screenshot, Jack.

Re: Lack of support from Plusnet

No, I wouldn't call it a "normal" occurrence. If you spot anything at the times when it happens or goes back, let us know.
Anyway the latest looks better, but we'll keep an eye on those RS corrected errors.

You'll have to lay off the beer before you point the camera  Grin  Grin
That doesn't look too bad Jack. I notice it's got very noisy later in the evening the last couple of days. (or is that camera shake Grin )

Re: Lack of support from Plusnet

Hi Chris,
The last one was also blank, wish it was the  beer but TT for the last two years !! This is getting a lot more frequent recently but I can't sit and watch for it to happen.
As you say the evenings look noisier at the moment and the days are like a millpond, as my usage is normally morning and early evening, up to 18.00 and again late at night, 23.00-01.00 I miss the really noisy periods
I'll send another set this evening and see what happens, Jack.

Re: Lack of support from Plusnet

I see you've clocked up a few RSUnCorr errors, and some HEC's plus one SES, that's on top of the usual low level of CRC's and ES's but at least the RS Corr's haven't been going up quite as fast lately. I hope you're not trying to break anything  Wink
