Re: ISP Review

John Lewis broadband is provided by PlusNet as that points out: though I think they have a separate service organization.
I looked at John Lewis when I moved to PlusNet, but it was going to cost quite a bit more and only give 10Mbps upload.

Do you mean 10Mb Down and ADSL?

Re: ISP Review

Thanks for clarification, it was the "only give" that made me think Down.
So do Plusnet do more?
I get 5Mb.

Re: ISP Review

Plusnet provision at 80/20 with a limit of 40/20 on the lower price package
Have you checked if you have a problem as that upload speed is very low for your download speed

Re: ISP Review

It is in line with my previous with Sky, thier figures higher because they use Sync. speed.
Do you think Openreach have not altered me to Plusnet?

Re: ISP Review

@dnpark38
Your line is synced at
Downstream Speed 31.5 Mbps
Upstream Speed 5.7 Mbps
You are definitely provisioned on the 80/20 product and are connecting at the esimates for your line.

Re: ISP Review

Thanks Chris, yes everything is running ok. in the speed regard.
It was just that the Up speed at 5Mb compared with others on Plusnet who show their speeds in the forum were 2 or 3 times higher, whilst Down speeds were similar.  So was just wondering if the BT/Openreach cabinet or exchange thought I was still on the Sky cap of 5Mb. following the talk of PN being a /20 product.

Re: ISP Review

There's no cap on your upload. Those getting higher upload speeds will be syncing higher on the downstream too but will be hitting the 40Mb speed cap set on the product.
