Re: IP addresses not UK - Can customers please report any problems here

Hopefully this is what has caused my smart TV to lose most of it's apps, and not Gremlins as we first suspected

2013 LG 42LN575V

I can get internet on it, just not the apps (Netflix, Amazon, NowTV etc...)

TV was working before we switched over to PlusNet last night

Ok, Give your router and then your TV a reboot and see if that helps?

Re: IP addresses not UK - Can customers please report any problems here

I'll give a try tonight.

Factory reset didn't seem to help, but I'll try rebooting the router too.

Support have just tried to change the IP, but it stayed in the same address range

It looks like the support agent hasn't followed our new process.  We've given you a static IP from a different range.  If it is a geo-location problem, that should sort it.

Re: IP addresses not UK - Can customers please report any problems here

Cool. I'll give the router a reboot later when I'm home. I'm still seeing the old IP.

Fingers crossed though Smiley

Incoming or outgoing email?

Outgoing. I have to phone up anyone I send an email to to make them look in junk to find it. Kinda defeats the object really!

Re: IP addresses not UK - Can customers please report any problems here

Understood! Your outgoing email shouldn't be affected by your IP address assuming you are using relay.plus.net as the outbound server?

One thing worth trying is to switch the router/modem off for 65 minutes or more to hopefully obtain a new IP address in a different range.

If you aren't sending through Plusnet's servers it's mostly down to the reputation of the servers you use.

Re: IP addresses not UK - Can customers please report any problems here

Now I feel really stupid.... I never knew that. I set it up using the info of the email server of the email company. I guess I use plusnet for incoming too?Huh
