Disappointed

What's going on with PN. I have been with them for 20years or so. Its gone down hill. Now getting rid of email or pay £15. How ridiculous to say concentrating on Broadband. Landlines going.
Really disappointed, I rely on my email address. Time to move on, but to whom?

If your Internet connection is still with PN, and the email address you're referring to is associated with that account, then it will be free of charge for two years.  You'll have to pay the £15 fee after that.

Like you I reley on my PN emaill address. While it's not the best of news it's far better than if they had turned around and said - emails closing in 3 / 6 months time.

How realistic are your expectations?

  • Lose your email entirely or after 2 years pay £15 pa., which is substantially less than virtually all but the single mailbox suppliers
  • Landlines going - as such they are going everywhere and there are plenty of providers in the market place for those who do not solely want a mobile service
  • We all rely on our email address - which is why Plusnet abandoned the original plan to simply close down email and instead invest in a graceful exit from email hosting
  • But to whom - Plusnet has effectively answered your question - Greenby
